Welcome To Our FAQs Page!

Here, you'll find answers to common questions about Serve the People. If you can't find what you need, contact us via chc@servethepeoplechc.org or (714) 352-2911 further help!

General

  • To schedule an appointment with us, please call (714) 352-2911 and our friendly Patient Services Team will assist you.

  • If running late to your appointment without notice, a 10-minute grace period is allowed before making it a “No-Show” appointment. If your appointment is marked as a “No-Show”, our Patient Services Team will work with you to reschedule your appointment.

After three “No-Show” appointments, our Patient Services team will no longer automatically reschedule your appointment. You will need to call to find a new time with your provider.

  • If you’re running late to your appointment, please call us at (714) 352-2911 as soon as possible. Please provide your name, appointment time, your provider’s name so that we can communicate your arrival time to your care team.

  • Our new location in Orange offers comprehensive vision and medical services. It's located at 293 S. Main Street, Suite #100, Orange, CA 92868.

Insurance

  • We proudly accept Medi-Cal, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Anthem, United Healthcare, and all other major insurance providers. Please contact your insurance provider directly to ensure that we are in-network for you.

  • You do not need to have insurance to be seen at Serve the People. Instead, we will use our Sliding Fee Scale Program to determine the cost of care.

  • Our Sliding Fee Scale Program allows qualifying patients to receive medical, dental care, and optometry care at a lower cost. Your eligibility for this program must be renewed annually. You can view our Sliding Fee Scale here.

Payment

  • You can pay for your appointment and other care with cash, debit, or credit card. We do not accept personal or cashier’s checks.

  • If you can’t pay for your appointment, please see the front desk staff and we will accommodate you.

Providers

  • Our providers represent a variety of skill levels and expertise. The providers on our Medical team are made up of medical assistants, registered nurses, physician assistants, and medical doctors. Our Dental team is composed of registered dental assistants, hygienists, and dentists. Optometrists and opticians power our Vision team. Finally, our Behavioral Health team are associate clinical social workers (ACSWs) and licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs).

  • To help make the most of your appointment, we recommend coming prepared with any information you’d like to share with your provider. Some helpful things to think about are how long you’ve been experiencing symptoms, which medications you’re on, and any questions you’d like to ask.
